Well, that's quite and interesting story. It's the first fiction book I've read in probably 20 years but I liked it. The ending was unexpected for me and I like that. Just the right amount of truth and fiction combined. I recommend.

Great read, weaving creative fiction into the historic flood. Dropped to 4 stars for killing the dog - a lesson Tom Hanks learned from the Turner and Hooch plot. Otherwise, I enjoyed the read on flights during a vacation!

I really enjoyed this read. I was engaged throughout the book and can’t wait to re-read it down the road. I too was affected by the flood that turned out to inspire the author to write this. Small world!
